Magnetic Fields is a brand new label from Will ôQuanticö Holland. The
prolific writer, remixer, producer and musician has launched the label to
promote and release music with influences from raw funk to soulful beats.
One of the first two releases is a 7ö special with The Sophistications
going along a dubby/reggae feel.
A great funky groove from the Quantic Soul camp -- and a cut that sounds
like it was lifted off some lost session tapes from The Meters' years at
Josie! "Feet & Hips" steps along with a great little chicken-pluck groove
-- drums snapping down slow and hard, bass plucking its way between the
beats, and the guitar dancing along with a slightly drunken little groove
while organ bubbles in the background!
