Release Notes:
The davids write songs...good songs, songs you can
identify with, songs about life, love, what goes
around comes around, disappointments and what's
great and what makes you feel really good and really
alive - all with great melodies.
There are a lot of influences - country obviously -
not the schmaltzy kind but the honest, earthy,
soulful type of country that can really touch the
heart. But also the best of 60's and 90's British
bands that formed the emotional backdrop for
different generations around the world.
Musical craftsmanship and production qualities of
David Osborne (US based) and the flexible voice and
insightful words of David Gwyn Jones (UK based)
blend to form a wonderful song based album that not
only makes your toes tap but tap into the emotional
to's and fro's of what it's like to be alive, in
love or alone in the year 2005
From the opener (What A Fool Sees) which really does
rock, through the yearning paeans to heartbreak of
Times Up and Once In Your Life or Everytime I Get
Close, to the classic quality pop of Break In The
Clouds or Her Face Fits this is an album to play
again and again. Play to your friends, play to your
lovers - both present and past - and take it home
and treasure.
However things are going for you The Davids help
uplift, empathize, and ultimately make you feel much
better about it all.
