Ending a six year hiatus, The Greatest Christian Rock N Roll Band of all time...
Luxury started to work on songs for an EP that eventually evolved and expanded
into a full-length, Health and Sport. On Health and Sport, Luxuryßfs influences
are as obtuse as they are profound: from Blonde Redhead, The Notwist, and Low,
to
Led Zeppelin, Fugazi, and Queen.
On Health and Sport, original members Lee Bozeman (Vocals, Guitar, and
Keyboards),
Glenn Black (Drums), Chris Foley (Bass), Jamey Bozeman (Guitar, Keyboards, and
Vocals), and newest member Matt Hinton (Guitars, Banjo, and Mandolin), juxtapose
the title with the actual theme of the record: realization and resignation.
According to Lee Bozeman, it was "a giving up of sorts; a kind of early mid-life
realization that things end and that we have to come to terms with our
failings."
In 1999, Luxury went their separate ways to pursue the next stages of their
lives.
2005 found them back in Toccoa, GA making a new record. Finding their voice
amidst family and work, they realized that their chemistry remained and that
"The Greatest Christian Rock N Roll Band" still had some songs to sing.
It is called Health and Sport.
