The Electric Press present their second EP.

It will have been over a year and a half since their debut Re:volt EP,
which would maybe lead you to believe that since then they have been sat
around scratching their arses in Harrogate with the old folk. Well I'm
sure that's partly true, but they have also been beavering away in the
studio producing killer remixes for DJ T and Boogie Corporation (2020)
Wulf N'Flow (Darkroom Dubs) and Buick Project (Saved). You must have also
seen their superb un-official EP re-edit series, that has seen them
supplying the EP magic to Daft Punk, Britney, Erykah Badu, Armand Van
Helden, Kelis and Ian Brown amongst others. They have also been tearing up
clubs with their dex and ableton show, playing at the UK's finest
underground clubs including Asylum (Leeds), Deep Down & Dirty (London) and
Urban Gorilla (Sheffield). All this has combined to turn them from arse
scratching juvenile delinquents to London media darlings with DJ magazine
claiming they are "the future of underground house" and Radio One's Annie
Mac gushing praise regularly one her show.

So to the music, Re:evaluate has been the biggest track in their live sets
for months now. It combines their trademark modern deep, electrofunk
stylings with Tom's vocals to create a superb, proper electronic song in
the tradition of Yello and Underworld, proving that EP (alongside all the
2020 artists) are pushing the envelope and thinking bigger than your
average ten a penny house producers.

The Dub Mix is a real treat for anyone who loves deep electronic house
music and rivals the Trentmoller releases on Naked in the electronic soul
stakes. The Rhodes comes to the forefront and the vocals are lost for a
hypnotic, trip into perfect 2020 Vision house. It has already been
licensed as the opening track for Nic Fanculli's forthcoming Renaissance
CD.

Fish To Fry is a melting pot of solid electronic beats, funk guitar and
primal vocals featuring guests PMQ and Rob Donnelly. This is no bonus
track, this rocks hard and is electrofunk in the very truest sense,
imagine the JB's jamming with Akais and Apples and you get the picture.

With a new studio finished and an album pencilled in for next year,
hopefully there wonÆt be the same wait for the next single.
