     Former Jesus & Mary Chain guitarist and drummer John Moore went solo in
     1989 for "Expressway Rising", a fine, rough-sounding debut that didn't
     stray all that far from the work of his former mates. He followed that
     release a year later for "Distortion", enlisting the help of several others
     and delivering a cleaner record that was just as good as his debut. In the
     late 90's, Moore teamed up with The Auteurs' Luke Haines and Sarah Nixey
     for "Black Box Recorder", co-writing everything with Haines. In his spare
     time, Moore imports absinthe.
