Release Notes:
The intensity in their sound is matched only by their energy
on stage. David Mohr, lead singer extraordinaire, has the kind
of manic energy that is so unbelievable it must be seen.
Guitarist Jacob Barcena and keyboardist Stuart Nishiyama
follow suit, backing David's stage presence with an equal dose
of spastic force. Not to be outdone, drummer Casey James does
anything possible to add to the chaos despite being
stationary.
This young band (median age 20) has garnered an
overwhelming amount of attention in the Sacramento music scene
in the last two years. Constant radio play, weekly shows at
home and abroad, and an ever-growing fan base can attest to
this. Didley Squat was also awarded a Sacramento News & Review
2005 Sammy for Best Pop Artist and Stuart Nishiyama was dubbed
Best Keyboardist of 2005 by the SN&R staff! As if that wasn't
enough, Didley Squat can also be found on college radio
stations nationwide, being among the top 10 newly added bands
of 2005,according to CMJ!
With two releases through the Sacramento label The
Americans Are Coming Recordings (The Smile Box and Burning
Alive Making A Living), Didley Squat is on its way to the top.
