Turntable Terranova are Fetisch, Kaos and Meister. A team of DJs and
producers straight from Berlin's underground. Live every saturday
night with their club "Desire" in E-Werk's basement. Their one-off's
at Berlin's WMF have reached cult-status. Their style is anarchistic
- mixing all forms of music to create the new.
Fetisch, DJ since the early 80ties, was resident-DJ in Berlin' s
cult-clubs Dschungel, Zest, ChaCha and others. In 1987 he went to New
York, where he was spinning tunes at "Danceteria", "Tunnel" and other
venues. End of the Eighties he moved to London! In swinging London he
was djing every saturday night upstairs at the "Wag"-club and
organized special parties. During his stay in London he met the
Stereo MCs and recorded a few tracks for their Gee Street Label: AXIS
( 12"-inch - which was recently sampled by Bj÷rk' s for her latest LP
"Post"), the track "Motherland" for the Stereo MCs-LP, parts of the
ISIS-LP with Lyn Q. and X-Clan, and more.
After all this experiences, Fetisch did make a three years break and
turned into underground-fashion, where he met Kaos (Dennis Kaun).
Kaos is a hyperactive multitalent and one of the most pupular
european graffiti writers. He started spraying 1984 (signed under his
name Kaos) and was a semi-professional-skateboarder. One part of Kaos
graffiti at the Berlin Wall was the official gift from the government
to Mr. President Bill Clinton during his visit in Berlin. Kaos has
rebuilt another part of his writings for an American businessman and
graffiti-collector, who wanted that imitation of this part of The
Wall.) Since then, Kaos has done many exhibitions in New York,
Lissabon, London, Oklahoma, and he was selling parts of the Wall to
galleries and academies of arts in Colorado, California, Tokyo and
Monte Carlo. He has also designed logos for different companies like
Adidas or Stⁿssy. Last but not least Kaos acted on behalf of the
Berlin Senat, teaching young prisoners graffiti-writing in workshops.
Kaos worked also as a stylist for foto-sessions, and he is still
creating his own T-Shirt collections, as well as organizing parties
(for example: I-D-party 1995 WMF Berlin or I-D party 12. Nov. 1995
Electric Lounge Munich).
