Release Notes:
Mostly a set of downtempo grooves, but one that's put together with a fair bit
of jazz in the mix -- thanks to some especially nice electric piano work on the
record! Yap's got a style here that's a bit undercover -- hiding his identity
(and sometimes his talents) underneath beats and samples that are trying a bit
too hard to be cool, but which fall back at the best moments to reveal some
stronger work on the keys. There's a slight dubby feel to some tracks, and the
album has a somewhat dated use of found spoken bits -- but sticking to the
solos, there's plenty here to enjoy. Titles include "Gerkintinis", "Never Be
Mine", "Heavy Heart", "Hip Hop Harold", "Warm Sunny Days", "Meditations", and
"Crackly 105".
