│║ I have known LORD for some time through my ║ │
│║ personal acquaintances and common friends on ║ │
│║ Facebook, though I must admit that I have been ║ │
│║ lazy enough not to check them out, other than a ║ │
│║ few music videos of theirs, till this 3rd EP of ║ │
│║ theirs ôWhat Tomorrow Bringsö released this June ║ │
│║ 26th. The Aussie boys shock you with their ║ │
│║ progressive songwriting and still managing to ║ │
│║ sound old school. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ The heart and body of the EP is the first title ║ │
│║ song, ôWhat Tomorrow Bringsö, clocking 25 min, ║ │
│║ and the others are ôbonus tracks that we added ║ │
│║ for extra value. The EP really is just the title ║ │
│║ track with some cool bonus tracks. (LT)ö ║ │
│║ according to the bandÆs Facebook page. It really ║ │
│║ takes balls to make a record like this with a ║ │
│║ single song clocking 25 min, and boy the song ║ │
│║ doesnÆt disappoint, as it packs enough melodies ║ │
│║ and epic style song writing keeping the listener ║ │
│║ engrossed. I find it really hard to put in ║ │
│║ words the beauty the song brings to the table, ║ │
│║ as the riffs and the vocals really keep you ║ │
│║ engrossed. ôHauntedö packs in more intensity and ║ │
│║ brings in BLOODSHOT DAWN styled riffs and still ║ │
│║ works great with the clean screaming vocals of ║ │
│║ Lord Tim. The EP album almost becomes a full- ║ │
│║ length album, largely due to the long first ║ │
│║ song, but does chug along just fine in songs ║ │
│║ like ôMessage In A Bottleö and ôThe Sun Always ║ │
│║ Shines On TVö. ôMessage In A Bottleö is an ║ │
│║ ordinary song and pales a little compared to the ║ │
│║ other better songs here, as the low tempo ║ │
│║ instrumental styled song along with the vocals ║ │
│║ doesnÆt really excite me. ôPlaying To Winö ║ │
│║ brings a bit of Viking Metal styled song ║ │
│║ writing, as the riffs make you head bang ║ │
│║ instantly and the song packs a lot of emotional ║ │
│║ song structures within its 3 minutes. The album ║ │
│║ culminates with an epic riff madness of 4 ║ │
│║ minutes in ôSomeone's Cryingö, underlining the ║ │
│║ fact why these guys are so highly rated among ║ │
│║ the underground circuit for the crazy fast-paced ║ │
│║ guitar work. They play so fast as to make you ║ │
│║ feel like a school kid if you try to air-guitar ║ │
│║ to these songs! ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ All in all, with a fine production and a crazy ║ │
│║ 25 min song, ôWhat Tomorrow Bringsö does test ║ │
│║ your patience occasionally, but is a great ║ │
│║ journey to anyone willing to explore what Power ║ │
│║ Metal can offer in modern day. Digg this just ║ │
│║ for those insane riffs. ║ │
