Like camp being sent to summer camp, Pepper Mashay's latest offering
is just as extreme and sassy as Dive In The Pool, except in this case
the bodies of liquid inferred are huge, industrial-sized vats of
cholesterol, shallow shampoo sink bowls and the puddles of happy tears
from all the laughter shared 'round the girls at the beauty shop. I
haven't seen the movie, but I just watched Barber Shop 1 and 2 and I'm
totally in awe of this culture. Pepper Mashay's kitschy lyrics are
spread across a wealth of remixes on this maxi, so regardless what the
context you can find a way to work this song into any musical setting.
And now that I'm thinking about it, the best comparison I can think of
for this is RuPaul's "Back to my Roots". How 'bout a duet ladies?
