For over 30 years, Freddy Fender has been a household name 30 years ago
with such country chart-topping hits as Before The Next Teardrop Falls,
Secret Love, and Wasted Days And Wasted Nights. It wasnÆt until the æ90s
that Fender re-focused his music on his Tex-Mex roots and formed Grammy«
award-winning Texas Tornados and Los Super Seven. As a solo artist,
Fender received a long-overdue Grammy in 2002 for his autobiographical
LA MUSICA DE BALDEMAR HUERTA ù a celebration of the Tejano and conjunto
songs heard in his Rio Grande valley hometown of San Benito, Texas.

5-time Grammy winner Flaco Jimenez is the best known of the talented
Jimenez family of accordion players. A great favorite in Texas and along
the border as a member of the Texas Tornados with Freddy Fender, Jimenez
reached a wider audience after collaborating with folk roots champion,
Ry Cooder (CHICKEN SKIN MUSIC). Since then, Flaco has toured worldwide
appearing at WOMAD, the Montreaux Jazz Festival, and New York's Central
Park.
