Release Notes:

Jeannie Ortega is a very beautiful but humble young lady. At first appearance
one may think she is shy, but with a microphone in her hand she turns into a
diva. At just 18 years of age her bubbly personality and energy to make any
crowd move to her beat.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jeannie attended the Brooklyn School of the
Arts. She always wanted to sing since she was a little girl. She has gone
through real managers and fake managers. She calls the beginning of her
career a learning experience and now is traveling swiftly down the road to
success. Her luck changed when she was riding in a cab one day. The cab
driver heard her soulful singing and decided up introducing her to the person
she now calls her manager.

She has always wanted to find her own sound and identity in a world of music
full of young men and women who want to be the next singing sensation. She
calls her particular sound Hip-pop and feels her music is very catchy and
gets peopleÆs attention. "I was raised on Hip-hop and Reggaeton so I lived in
a very urban world, Jeannie said in an interview with Reggaetonline.net, "As
an artist I wanted to combine the music she grew up into on, both hip-hop and
pop. With this creative combination of music genres seems to be a great way
to stay in touch with who she is, in a world were fame quickly makes many
forget where they come from.

She is now with Hollywood record label and was told on the spot that they
wanted to sign her. "I kept my cool but once I got out into the parking lot
it hit me and I was numb and in a sort of a trance for a few hours as I drove
back to the hotel I was staying at. I was 16 when they told me that, but it
can be a long process sometimes to get to the point where you can see what
you have worked so hard to produce come to life".

Now she is to the point where she is beginning to collaborate with key
players in the world of Reggaeton. "This whole Reggaeton thing is hot,"
Jeannie says with a grin. "I happened to tell one of my guys that I wanted to
do something with Reggaeton. I didnÆt believe it when he came back to me and
said that SPK wanted me to come through [the studio]. I was like yo, are you
serious!" SPK is the producer of the 2004 Reggaeton smash hit "Oye Mi Canto",
which features Nina Sky, N.O.R.E., Gem Star, and Big Mato.

Jeannie continues, "I went into the studio knowing what kind of work this guy
had done. Big Mato was there also and we just started to collaborate and I
wrote a little part of the verse of the song we did together. Gem Star came
through the studio later on that night and listened to what SPK, Big Mato and
I had done and jumped into the project as well. I guess that everyone then
went to N.O.R.E.Æs studio and they told him this girl, Jeannie Ortego, sheÆs
hot, her music is good. N.O.R.E. was like, "Hey I wanna meet this girl and
see what sheÆs about!Æ Then I went back to the studio and met N.O.R.E.. It
all seemed like a blessing the way things worked out". Now Jeannie hears
whispers of possible future collaborations with producers like Luny Tunes.

She thanks God that her parents are so supportive. JeannieÆs Dad could be
seen right by her side as she entered Latin Quarters to perform at the 3rd
annual Latin rap Conference. She warmed up the crowd performing a few songs
to promote her debut album, entitled No Place Like Brooklyn. She later
returned that same night to share the stage with Gem Star and Big Mato.
There is no doubt that Jeannie Ortega has what it takes to set the world of
music on fire. Music fans across the country can look forward to her new
album, which is soon to be released.
