| Born and raised on country & western music in the west coast of |
| Norway, Lindstrom now resides in Oslo making contemporary disco |
| as well as running his excellent Feedelity label. Together with |
| his pal Prins Thomas or on his own, he remixed such artists as |
| Juan Mc Lean, LCD Soundsystem, Freeform Five, Annie, and produced |
| EPs for Bear Funk, Outergaze, Eskimo (and off course Feedelity) |
| hailed by everyone that counts - from London to Tokyo. Remember I |
| Feel Space? Lindstrom & Prins ThomasÆ album due out on Eskimo is |
| already one of the hot tips of this fall, as will be his stunning |
| track for Battle : Monsteer ! Talented DJ and producer signed to |
| Grand Central, Riton already has 2 albums under his belt |
| including the acclaimed Homies and Homos. His trademark angular |
| beats, bleeps and sleazy electro mixed with a real sense of |
| melody convinced such artists as Soulwax, Human League, Kylie |
| Minogue, Run DMC, Chikinki, Alter Ego and Scissor Sisters to ask |
| him for remixes. His track for Battle, YOUNG GIRL, is a powerful |
| rush of adrenalin ! MONSTEER (A-SIDE): Following in the footsteps |
| of I Feel Space, Monsteer bears its name well. A huge chord |
| progression and eerie, ethereal voices surfing on a heavy disco |
| stomp, Monsteer will hypnotise the most demanding clubbers. Think |
| of Valkyries leading you to the disco Walhalla! YOUNG GIRL |
| (B-SIDE): Straight in yoÆ face dirty vocal electro knockout for |
| those who feed on sleaze like thieves do on adrenalin: Bouncy |
| motherfucker for seedy watering holes ! |
| |
| The concept is to take 2 hot producers, have them make a track |
| each and see who wins out. Then the rematch comes with remixes of |
| each by the other party. Genius, especially when the names are as |
| exciting as these ones. Riton takes the other side of the coin |
| with a tough, disjointed slab of electro-distortion. Both are |
| pretty good, but weÆre waiting for the reworks, as both guys come |
| alive when tackling other peopleÆs material. Round one is edged |
| by Riton, though. |
