iD and Sleeper, two of the most respected artists in the rapidly
expanding Lawrence, Kansas music scene, have delivered to Mush
their debut album, Displacement. Spread over fifteen tracks, the
duo showcase their musical strengths. Sleeper retains a gritty
hip-hop edge reminiscent of the early years of sampling: lo-fi
sounds are layered with intricate drum programming to create a
substantial base to build on. iD proves to be a perfect fit for
this type of production; his lyrics and style are a blend of
contemporary independent hip-hop's introverted, artistic
