        :: Release Notes:
        ::
        :: Four ep's from 1997, collected on a single CD... Featuring
        :: lo-fi gems that call to mind such legendary 4-trackers as
        :: Guided By Voices, Neutral Milk Hotel and Lou Barlow. This is
        :: a teaser for the 'Building Your Lo-Fi Shelter' 5 CD boxed
        ::  set.
        ::
        :: Some words about the gifted children:
        ::
        :: "If you could somehow take a handful of computer geeks and
        :: wave a magic wand over their heads, making them surprisingly
        :: cool, then you would have ... the musical talents of The
        ::  Gifted Children."
        :: - Melissa Baker, Alfred University's Fiat Lux Newspaper
        ::
        ::  ---------------------
        ::
        :: "Imagine a completely fresh approach to the Guided By Voices
        :: style of songwriting. The Gifted Children, perhaps the most
        :: prolific band you're going to hear of, write immaculate,
        ::  unique, wonderful songs."
        :: - Jeff Marsh, Delusions of Adequacy
        ::
        ::  ----------------------
        ::
        :: "The Gifted Children have mastered the art of quantity and
        ::  quality."
        ::  - Mark Norris, BuffaloBeat
        ::
        ::  ----------------------
        ::
        :: "A slice of indie heaven"
        :: - Michelle Picardo, Freetime Magazine
        ::
        ::  ----------------------
        ::
        :: "They bring a blend of incredible musicianship, delectible
        :: lyrics, slapstick dance, verbal abuse, and all around folly
        ::  together in a life-altering stage phenomenon!"
        ::  - Nancy Sullivan, atspotlite.com
        ::
        ::  -----------------------
        ::
        ::  "I love this band...."
        ::  - Michael Lawson, Ottawa X-Press
        ::
        ::  ------------------------
        ::
        :: "The band's deeply affecting, acoustic-based numbers are
        ::  thoughtful, creative and whimsical..."
        :: "...the quartet's live shows are upbeat and often
        ::  hilarious..."
        :: - Toni Ruberto, Buffalo News
        ::
        ::  ------------------------
        ::
        :: "Seems like every other year the Buffalo Bills lose the Super
        :: Bowl. The Gifted Children turn the gloom hanging over their
        :: city into bittersweet indie rock. Maybe Lou Barlow should
        ::  move upstate."
        ::  - Eric Zappa, Audiogalaxy.com
        ::
        ::  -------------------------
        ::
        :: "High energy band with quick and quirky pop-driven melodies
        :: with totally creative lyrics to make you smile."
        :: - Student Association, Alfred University
