| | Lee Purkis, aka In Sync, was one of the founders of the legendary | |
| | Fat Cat record shop and one of the great lost heroes of | |
| | electronic music and the British Techno scene - well known for | |
| | his works on Irdial, 10th Planet and Peacefrog among others, and | |
| | heralded by those who know as one of the key figures ever to | |
| | emerge from the UKÆs underground scene. Quite incredibly...heÆs | |
| | back! The tracks on this new untitled release are solo | |
| | productions which Purkis made after he split from the 10th Planet | |
| | Records label, inspired by listening to lots of electronic film | |
| | soundtracks at the time. So while the underlying structure seems | |
| | to hark back to the dance sound, the real fuel here comes from | |
| | listening to musicians and bands such as John Carpenter, Goblin, | |
| | Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Brian Eno & Robert Fripp etc. | |
| | This music was recorded using mainly analogue synths with the | |
| | exception of a couple of digital units to add a bit of raw edge. | |
| | None of the analogue components were processed digitally at any | |
| | stage, even the lacquer was cut in true analogue form û with | |
| | every track cut from the original 4 track tapes to retain the old | |
| | style sound. This is an extremely limited doublepack pressing of | |
| | 300 copies only û with one disc pressed on lovely clear orange | |
| | viny, and the other on clear red..... Honestly, we never thought | |
| | weÆd see the day when In Sync returned to the fray û so this is | |
| | quite something. | |
