         Like a gleaming binary sky-line emerging from the digital
         fog, Mariel Ito's (aka Erik Estornell) debut LP is the sound
         of a machine-city kicking back on a Friday night following a
         hard week in the fluorescent glare... Grounded through a
         phenomenal understanding of what constitutes jacked-electro
         goodness, 'My Cyborg Depths' is fifty-four minutes of chrome
         plated beats and soaring 'Blade Runner'-vistas that
         alternate effortlessly between poignant interludes of
         digital solipsism (the gorgeous 'Dream Deception') and
         ricocheting blasts of silicon tourettes ('Remorse Attack').
         Sharing the ability of Yasuijro Ozu to distil large
         quantities of material down into digestible nuggets, not
         once do you feel overwhelmed despite the sheer scale and
         wide-screen nature of the music on show. Particular
         highlights include the dice+slice job done on Richard
         Burton's 'War of The Worlds' narration for 'Syndrome', the
         Tejada-style electro-flutter of 'Form Function', and the
         overt pathos of album closer 'Finally'. Harmonious
         throughout, despite being knee-deep in genre-busting electro
         viscosity, 'My Cyborg Depths' is the next level in man's
         relationship with machine... Probably.
