Cat Stevens is better known for his folk-rock output than creating seminal dance
music moments but in 1977 he unleashed 'Was Dog a Doughnut?' on an unsuspecting
world and may have created the first ever electronic record! Bambatta and
Kraftwerk were but dots on the horizon when Stevens crafted his electro
masterpiece that has been a favourite amongst real breaks connoisseurs and DJs
such as Paul Nice, Danny Tenaglia and Freddy Fresh ever since. On this release
you get a nice loud pressing and an extended edit of the original, perfect for
the new generation of electronic DJ. And if that wasn't enough you also get a
prime Skatalites / King Tubby afro-beat work out.
