Picked this up on spec last week at a garage sale for 75 cents.
I knew absolutely nothing about it, had never heard of the the artist at all.
I stopped myself from googling it, too. I thought it might be fun to go in
blind and take a chance - for >$1 why not?. I did check the tracklisting and
saw Ras Kass credited as producer and featured on 1 track that, to my
knowledge, i had never heard to my knowledge so that should be worth the
75 cents right there.
What a nice surprise! It turns out to be some pretty decent G-Funk'ish Hip-Hop!
Not at all what I was expecting, but I'll sure take it!
Can't find much info on this dba flip kid, looks like he only put out this one
album and had a song on a.. NFL Jams compilation..?? what the fuck is that?!?!
i'm going to have to look that one up.
i should not have looked that one up. oh christ, my ears. Lamont Warren is
even worse at keeping on beat than he was at being a running back.
luckily, this Dba Flip solo album is much better than WTF ever that was.
