This is kinda embarrassing since we been around for so long, but here it goes:
A rerip of cd 1 was made on a different drive on the same system. The scratch sound
was gone and all seamed flawless.. hehey happy ... upload and end of story.
At least that was the intention. Then ripper listened thru this tight mix and
discovered a skip on 51:45 this time.
Hard to describe the feeling at that point ... let's just call it chaos.
Now what to do? Make another one? Make it internal? Redo the whole release ?
If it's been one of the regular top 40 VA's, who would care.
But then again you might have the previous five releases in this excellent series and
nothing but a flawless copy will do.
Since nothing is wrong with cd 2 we're doing cd 1 the way it was supposed to be from
start. Allthough we really would have loved the whole thing to be one piece.
Ripped on a fresh system and thoroughly listened thru like we usually do.
Again we're very sorry for all this commotion, but we still think this was the right
thing to do. The only comfort is that the "fixed" version we heard of on p2p networks
must be bad too ... this was never meant for those who use that shit anyway.
