the Chicago Tribune, Sean "SB" Butler is at the
forefront of a hip-hop revolution. His motivational
lyrics and passionate stage show have earned him
international recognition from devoted fans and
industry insiders alike. Likewise, his commitment to
addressing social ills and promoting positive values
in his music have drawn comparisons to U2 front man,
Bono, and reggae legend Bob Marley...high praise for
this industry newcomer. Such reception has enabled him
to open for and share billing with a host of
celebrated acts including Erykah Badu, Common, Kanye
West, Talib Kweli, De La Soul, KRS ONE, Dead Prez and
many others.
Currently in the studio, SB is putting the finishing
touches on his full length debut album, "Revolusean"
which features production from Kanye West mentor, No
ID (Common, Jay-Z, G-Unit, Toni Braxton), Hula, Dejion
& K.Fingers "Azza" (Will Smith, Jazzy Jeff, Missy
Elliott), Tye Hill (Felix da Housecat, Sean "P-Diddy"
Combs), Allbangaz, and the talented Soul People band.
He is also working on music for the soundtrack and
score of the film adaption of the critically acclaimed
novel, "Kaffir Boy", while scheduling promotional tour
dates in the U.S. and overseas.
