DE RIGUEUR formerly of AVATARS OF DUB (ESL) and THE FOREIGN AGENTS has an
incredible resume, from remixing STEREOLAB and KING TUBBY to a plentiful catalog
of his own releases. "TIME I GOT MY OWN THING" is a very funky breaky jam,
"CHILLIN ON THE RHODES" has an Afrobeat driven KIDGUSTO remix.
Florida downtempo label Citrona present this solo EP from Brooklyn's De Riguer,
who is another US producer with links to ESL (as a member of Avatars Of Dub and
The Foreign Agents). "Time I Got My Own Thing" has a live funk feel to back up
its cool riddim, "Control Is Smooth" is a supremely confident slice of pre-club
/ after hours chill and "Chillin On The Rhodes" reprises the opener with some
VIP jamming. Kidgusto joins in to shake things up, adding a couple of extra
shots and a twist of lemon.
