     Researchers at the United States Duke University studied 20 infants
     and came to the conclusion that babies may have an abstract sense of
     numerical concepts. The experiment was similar to a previous one that
     demonstrated that monkeys show numerical perception too. These
     results support the idea that there is a shared system between
     preverbal infants and nonverbal animals for representing numbers.
