         - NOTES

         The familiar tones to "War of The Gods" served as the
         perfect introduction for startime at London's theatre home
         of Soul, the Odeon Hammersmith, as the night's hero, Billy
         Paul, strode on stage, familiar leather hat and all. It
         was Billy's debut in Europe and his earliest opportunity
         to meet first hand the people who had given him three hits
         in a row in "Me and Mrs. Jones"- the song that earned him
         a grammy award a year before- "Brown Baby" and "Thanks For
         Saving My Life", a song that was then spiralling its way
         to the top.
