Brilliant tribute the legendary Fender Rhodes electric piano,
focusing on rare recordings from 1972-78, and compiled by Brown
Sugar label mastermind Michael Mohring, who has this to say:
"Like all great instruments, the Rhodes piano was something special
from the very beginning. Not for the purists, who hated the
upcoming of electric instruments, although many serious musicians
in the '60s and '70s switched over. Pianists like Herbie Hancock,
Cedar Walton, Ramsey Lewis and Donny Hathaway all played the Rhodes
with passion and feeling. But it's also the analogue warmth and
deep vibe that catches the ears".
This release ain't done for the competition, but for the fun and
the groove...that's music we like for the body and the soul..enjoy.
