Release Notes:
The sixth and final recording session by the most famous of Horace
Silver's quintets (the version with trumpeter Blue Mitchell and
tenor saxophonist Junior Cook) did not introduce any new classic
tunes ("Silver's Serenade" is the best known), but as with the
previous sets, the results are swinging, funky, and quite creative
within the idiom. All of Silver's Blue Note quintet recordings are
quite enjoyable.
