Far Out finally release the electrifying Spiritual South remix of Azymuth's
'Roda Piao'. The infectious 'Purified' mix has already been hammered on radio
and dancefloors by Gilles Peterson and additionally features on Azymuth's
greatest hits compilation 'Pure'.
Spiritual South's 'Purified' remix mashes up the boundaries of broken-beat,
batucada and baile funk to create a psychoactive groove guaranteeing 100%
dancefloor carnage. Anyone familiar with the original mix from the 'Brazilian
Soul' album will be aware that the track was a stunning piece of new Brazilian
music to begin with yet somehow Spiritual South has added more magic and upped
the scale further with a lethal injection of ungodly goodness.
As an extra value we get Roc Hunter's remix of "Sao Pedro" - pure class, nothing
else expected from the man.
