Saint Asonia is a Canadian-American rock supergroup consisting of lead
vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adam Gontier, lead guitarist Mike
Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Cale Gontier, and drummer Sal
Giancarelli. In 2017, the band's original drummer, Rich Beddoe, left
the band and was replaced by Mushok's Staind bandmate Sal Giancarelli,
and one year later bassist and backing vocalist Corey Lowery left the
band to join Seether and his place was taken by Gontier's cousin Cale
Gontier. Formed in Toronto, Canada in 2015 after Gontier's departure
from Three Days Grace in 2013. Their second studio album titled Flawed
Design, is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2019.
Flawed Design is the second album by rock supergroup Saint Asonia. The
first single from the album, "The Hunted" was released on July 24,
2019. The second signal from the album, "This August Day was released
on October 18,2019. It's the bands first album in 4 years and follows
their 2015 album Saint Asonia. The band had brought in Cale Gontier to
replace former bass player Corey Lowery, they also brought in drummer
Sal Giancarelli, of Staind to replace former drummer Rich Beddoe. The
band also collaborated with musicians from other bands like Breaking
Benjamin's Keith Wallen on "Beast", Godsmack's Sully Erna on lead
single "The Hunted", Within Temptation lead singer Sharon den Adel
lending her voice on a song called "Sirens", and from Starset singer
Dustin Bates sharing his writing skills on a song called "Ghost".
