▓████▓▌ When I was 7 years old I was offered to play music ▓▌
▓████▓▌ in class. I made my first guitar at this age, it ▓▌
▓████▓▌ was made out of a piece of wood and a big tin can, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ with a nylon string, It sounded great, my first gig ▓▌
▓████▓▌ was on the lap of 'sinterklaas' playing a ▓▌
▓████▓▌ sinterklaas song for a bunch of kids of my age. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ (Something similar like Santa Claus, that's the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ American version of Sinterklaas, only he wasn't ▓▌
▓████▓▌ invented by Coca Cola, and the happening takes ▓▌
▓████▓▌ place on december 5th) ▓▌
▓████▓▌ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ So because of this concert someone offered me an ▓▌
▓████▓▌ acoustic guitar and I was put on lessons. I started ▓▌
▓████▓▌ classical, after a while I was playing after famous ▓▌
▓████▓▌ rocksongs on an electric guitar. At the age of 15 I ▓▌
▓████▓▌ got fed up with only doing that and I decided I ▓▌
▓████▓▌ learned enough to go my own way and teach myself ▓▌
▓████▓▌ some more, I listened to music like Jimi Hendrix, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Neil young, Steve Miller, Beatles, Wings, Stones, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ and I had a few blues and country records from the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ old days, apart from that also the Nirvana time ▓▌
▓████▓▌ didn't pass me. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ When I was seventeen I met Arne Wolfswinkel at ▓▌
▓████▓▌ school, it turned out he had the same guitar ▓▌
▓████▓▌ teacher as I had, and most likely he dropped guitar ▓▌
▓████▓▌ school for the same reasons: making your own music. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ We had an obscure record of Jimi Hendrix in common ▓▌
▓████▓▌ that time, so we decided to jam a few times. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Through him I got in touch with bands like Pussy ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Galore, Sebadoh, Blues Explosion, Pavement, Doo ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Rag, Oblivians, Beck and so on. Maybe my part was ▓▌
▓████▓▌ to show him that 'the blues is allright' ▓▌
▓████▓▌ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ We made a lot of Home recordings, experimenting, in ▓▌
▓████▓▌ what soon would turn out to be the Chimney Brother ▓▌
▓████▓▌ soundlab, wich started producing from '97 under ▓▌
▓████▓▌ that name untill now. This year we had our 8th year ▓▌
▓████▓▌ anniversary. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ We started bringing out tapes and sell them through ▓▌
▓████▓▌ a local music store. After the tapes we decided to ▓▌
▓████▓▌ produce on Vinyl, which is still the biggest ▓▌
▓████▓▌ passion of the chimney Brothers. But we know too ▓▌
▓████▓▌ that CD's sell better, so off we went with our ▓▌
▓████▓▌ latest cd: Rhythm and Blues Rendez vous (on vinyl ▓▌
▓████▓▌ as well of course) and coming up one of these ▓▌
▓████▓▌ weeks, our brand new Album 'Mick Jagger had Italian ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Drugs' ▓▌
▓████▓▌ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Anyway, the last years I also started making my own ▓▌
▓████▓▌ songs, I call it Folk Music, where Country and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Blues have its place. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ As I pointed out in the 'releases' chapter, in 2002 ▓▌
▓████▓▌ I traveled three months in the states from New ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Orleans to New York with my guitar and my bicycle. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ After this journey I brought out my first own ▓▌
▓████▓▌ release 'a musical impression of a journey from New ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Orleans to New York' ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Since then I started writing more songs for my own, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ and they needed to be brought out to, so here we go ▓▌
▓████▓▌ with my upcoming album 'Out of Town' ▓▌
