Following his impressive Memorabilia debut, talented producer Chris Penny (aka
Cpen) delivers the fourth outing for the Brazilian based label in the shape of
ôMonstersö. Taking on influences from the ôgood old daysö, this hypnotic and
inducing little number fuses a blend of old school sounding rhythms along with
early 90s influencesà itÆs a cocktail made specially for the cooler dancefloors.
The vocals are provided by Cpen himself along with LaTine Webb, adding a real
focal point to the track with the crisp beats and stabby keys providing the edge
in the background.
Remixes come from DJ Mr Gill & Ricardo Motta who add in a deeper bassier
sounding hook along with various stabs and FX, all leading up to the distinct
keyline and vox to drop in as its builds and builds. Finally label head honcho
Mondino completes the package adding a techier based beat to the matrack, again
perfectly complimented with the overall musical hooks & vocals.
