This latest instalment in the superb 'Jazz In The House' series has
again been compiled by Phil Asher, using his extensive knowledge of
house music, and highlights a number of super rare tracks from some
of today's biggest producers.
Phil is renowned as a taste making DJ/producer, and in the past few
months has remixed Earth, Wind & Fire, Jody Watley and Damon Albarn's
new Mali Music project. Along with Luke McCarthy, Phil is the
founding member of the Restless Soul production team, which also
incorporates producers Modaji (Laws Of Motion Records), Taxi Driver
(Estereo Records), and Roy Marsh. He also produces under various
aliases, which include Basic Soul and Electric Soul (with ex-partner
Luke McCarthy), Woolph, Phoojun (alongside Nathan Haines), and 12-Bit
Rephugees (with Mark De Clive-Lowe). He has produced a live-based
jazz album for Chilli Funk Records with saxophonist Nathan Haines and
a more electronic based album for Versatile Records out of France.
'Jazz In The House Vol. 11' features tracks from the likes of Octave
One, DJ Spinna & Rich Medina, DJ Fudge, John Ciafone, Peven Everett,
Three Generations Walking, DJ Gregory, Mondo Grosso, Su-Paka-Pooh,
Blaze and many more.
NOTE: We have released the promo CD 7 weeks ago as internal release
due to bad mastering quality. This is the RETAIL CD but unfortunately
nothing has been changed in this time, just the peak level is a bit
higher now :( For Nukers: It's not bad release, it's 1:1 copy from
RETAIL CD! A small remark also: although you can see 2002 on covers,
the release year is 2003 ( 27/01/03 (UK) - 13/01/03 (export) ).
