Some rare vinyl action from brass Hip-Hop phenomenon YoungBlood Brass Band
ignore them at your peril!
YoungBlood Brass Band are a uniquely phenomenal group, who've been plying their
trade quietly for several years. Although largely based around the stunning live
element YBBB translate well onto record. Live, organic Hip-Hop built entirely
from scratch, which is as immediate and energetic as anything a studio boffin
could cook up. B-side 'Ake' shows off their mellower side and would stand up
against anything Cinematic Orchestra et al could offer.
This band consists of 6 horn players, 2 drummers, a saxophonist and an MC. Their
music fuses jazz and hip hop, with a little marching band thrown in, and
apparently they are incendiary live.
