│ The International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering │
│ publishes refereed papers describing significant developments in │
│ numerical techniques that are applicable to the solution of │
│ engineering problems in the areas of solids, structures, │
│ fluid-structure interaction, incompressible fluid flow, heat │
│ transfer and related areas. The Editors also encourage contributions │
│ in the areas of multi-physics, multi-disciplinary and multi-scale │
│ problems. │
│ │
│ Papers featuring the advancement of the theory and applications of a │
│ particular class of problems are also appropriate for the journal. │
│ Numerical examples that help illustrate the methodology of the │
│ techniques proposed, or which verify their validity, are also │
│ encouraged, as are descriptions of practical applications. │
│ │
│ The journal publishes full-length papers, which should normally be │
│ less than 25 journal pages in length. Discussions of papers already in │
│ print are also considered. Two part papers will be discouraged unless │
│ considered necessary by the Editors. The Journal is a companion journal │
│ to Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering, which considers │
│ short manuscripts for rapid publication. │
