Virtual Sound Images is a bit of a departure from the
more traditional 'rock' aspects of Out Out. Principally
instrumental, quite dancable, yet very detailed and
layered, this first new album in years shows Mark Alan
Miller's willingness to stretch out and try new things.
The first of two instrumental records slated for
release in 2006, V.S.I. is the more upbeat,
lighter-spirited of the two, showing a sense of humor
and levity often missing in the techno/industrial music
scene.
The sound of V.S.I. is not easily categorised, due in
part to a wide range of styles, yet the album is still
quite cohesive, and should appeal to a large
cross-section of industrial/electronic music lovers.
We use LAME 3.97 now, which is approved.
