Border Community is without doubt one of the most
influential dance labels of the past two years, with nine
releases so far, all of which have been heavily supported
by literally every major DJ in the book. Nathan Fake, one
of the most up-coming artists from the label, was born
and brought up in Norfolk, England. When he was just
twenty-two years old, his first record 'Outhouse' was
released in late 2003 on Border Community. After a string
of ultra-successful and impecable releases,
wunder-producer Nathan Fake gets a whole Ep's worth of
remixes by a great selection of artistsSince then he has
also released on Saw Recordings and Traum Schallplatten,
and currently his debut LP is the album of the month in
DJ Mag and Mixmag. This 12'' features
Sascha Ring aka Apparat (of Shitkatapult and Bpitch fame)
with a rework of "Charlie's House" to include his
trademark seismic beats and dsp wizardry, Vincent Oliver
has gone for a more IDM approach with syncopated rhythms,
Fairmont's version of "Long Sunny" is the
dancefloor-friendly of the bunch whilst Fortdax turns the
neo-baroque "You Are Here" to a Vangelis-esque anthem.
