Note: This release contains both an LP and CDR with the same
songs on each format. These tracks are extracted from the CDR.
Also please note that this is the bands second EP, consists of
three tracks, thus not the same release FNT did a while ago
(which incidentally was mislabeled as by "Sparrows"). Props to
FNT for that release though!
Mini review:
These guys really really like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, in
the best way possible, and ends up using many of their once
uniqe flairs, even down to spoken word samples of a tormented
homeless person. Still, there's something more honest hinted at
here by Sparrows Swarm and Sing that the more recent releases
from GY!BE and Set Fire to Flames never quite achieved. The
approach to recording is also more DIY, which suits these
mournful compositions wonderfully. Highly, highly recommended.
