It is not a classic and spectacular band history that is connecting the
three members of "Lyn Leon". Exceptional is the almost ten years old
cooperation of the transatlantic alliance. There's singer Carolyn Leonhart
from New York. Her home are the clubs of the metropolis and she was
endowed with Jazz and Pop from birth. With the US-band "Steely Dan" she
has visited half the world and was invited in early life to Japan for
CD-productions. And there are her two other bandmembers Stephan Diethelm
and Matthias Eser.
The two Suisse percussionists bring a real treasure of European music
tradition to the band. The more amazing how well-balanced the music
presents itself on ôLyn LeonÆsö third album PRIVATE POP. An additional
appeal brings the influence of drummer and programmer Marco Agavino who
has co-produced some of the songs. The sound on PRIVATE POP is also formed
by bassist Wolfgang Zwiauer and Marco Blöchlinger and drummer Kaspar Rast
whose congenial play represents the basis of the songs.
