In early times, peanut-shaped meteors bombarded the planet with
galactic fury. Unbeknownst to Earth's citizens, these meteors were
actually eggs, from which came terrible monsters. However, each
monster, as is often the case in nature, was paired with another,
less terrible creature: a baby. These babies were destined for
greatness, if they could but survive the horrible beasts against
which they were pitted. According to legend, only five of these
babies survived, and united together as Caution Peanut!
Caution Peanut rose to power on Earth in the midst of terrible
monster attacks, as they were the only beings with the capacity to
destroy the monsters. But alas, the monsters had grown too
numerous and too strong, and Caution Peanut was forced to avoid
disaster by a total evacuation of the planet earth to the moon. In
the process, Earth's people were saved, but Caution Peanut was
tragically lost in the biggest time shower this side of eternity.
As the people mourned the loss of their beloved leaders, space
life took its toll, and Moonbases I and II were destroyed as a
result of complete reliance on technology. All wished for the
return of Caution Peanut, whose fate had been constantly in
question in the centuries that had passed since their
disappearance.
Long ago, the prophet Mustafa had proclaimed that Caution Peanut
would return when mankind was in its greatest danger, yet when
five baffled figures emerged on the moon in the year 3010
space.d., there was little cause for worry. The Green Ghost
promptly met these five weary travellers and brought them to his
estate, where he held the most festive of celebrations in their
honor. As the majority of guests left the event, the Green Ghost
revealed to Caution Peanut his intent to run for the highest
elected office on the moon against the legendary boremonger and
fatalistic bureaucrat Zahir Funes.
During this heated campaign, Caution Peanut held numerous rallies
in the name of Double G, which eventually led to an overwhelming
victory on election day. But before they could celebrate, some
jive-mother named Dr. Panoptic declared himself dictator over all
moonmankind, and called forth a sinister army composed of members
of the Time Wizards' Guild to keep order. His first act as ruler:
to ban rock and roll and related activities.
Citizens of the moon, outraged, immediately began preparations for
war.
On the eve of battle, a cloaked figure with the seal of the Dr.
Panoptic upon his back, snuck into the Green Ghost's beachside
mansion. A flash of lightning revealed that he, Dr. Panoptic, was
none other than Zahir Funes' twisted alter-ego. And he had come,
on this most fateful of nights, to destroy the epitome of all that
is funky: the Green Ghost.
And yet the question remains: Can a man be killed that was never
alive?s
