Turkish born, UK based producer Fishmanta joins the Ready Mix
Records family for the label's 212th release, comprising two
original tracks and a remix from Greece's Haris Kate.
With previous work signed to Cafe De Anatolia and Rehegoo Music
Group, Fishmanta has a melodic, organic approach to making
electronic music thanks to years spent playing both guitar and
bass, not to mention digging through his grandad's vinyl
collection.
Opening track 'Suenos de Aroma' (Dreams of Aroma) provides a
compelling introduction to Fishmanta's euphonious sound, filled
with warm pads, interweaving rhythmic synth lines and thematic
gestures back to his native land of Turkey.
Ready Mix regular Haris Kate turns in a sublime, hypnotic take
on 'Suenos de Aroma', adding subtle strings into a fresh groove
designed for the deep heads.
Second original track 'Modest Waves' once again showcases
Fishmanta's understated yet passionate style, slowly and
smoothly summoning up a dreamlike atmosphere full of floaty
strings and wistful melodies.
