│ Three Years ago when 'Ride On Time' was │
│ blasting out of every club speaker and car │
│ stereo in the UK you wouldn't have given │
│ italian dance music much of a future. Sure, │
│ they'd discovered a clever, if a little crude │
│ way of sampling bits of vocals and adding │
│ cheesy piano lines to create catchy tunes, │
│ but it wouldn't last. A flash in the pan, │
│ everyone thought. In a few months we'd be │
│ back at the American import racks looking for │
│ 'real' club music. │
│ │
│ We couldn't have been more wrong. Italian │
│ music has become a staple soundtrack in clubs │
│ across the world and its infectious spirit │
│ has influenced the entire direction of dance │
│ music. Check the tracks assembled on this │
│ second Avanti! compilation and you'll see │
│ just how far Italian dance music has │
│ progressed. Whether it's the borrowed hooks │
│ in 'Babaji' by DH Pinhas, the deep booming │
│ synths of DCO2's 'Do What You Feel' or the │
│ simmering summery feel of 'Latin Blood' by │
│ Deseo, the unique spirit and feeling is the │
