New 12" from the irrepressible Dominic Stanton in his sometime Hip-Hop guise
Umod.
This is the first 12" from Domu's Umod project for Jazzanova's Berlin label
since the debut album was unleashed last year, and it hasnÆt come a minute too
soon. Domu's perspective on the sub 100bpm kick-snare world is refreshing,
taking an approach to arrangement unique to a producer with a history in jungle,
house and of course broken beat. Bristol's Yolanda features on the rousing title
track, getting play from all the right people whilst the quirky 'Puffin's Dance'
resurfaces after featuring on the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Exclusives
collection a few years back.
The very active broken beat DJ somewhere from West London delivered two new
tracks (a side) and the flipside comes along with two remixes of "Rest With U",
one from Mapa, the other from DJ Rogall from Berlin.
