:: Release Notes:
::
:: IPANEMA's Me Me Me six track album shows how singer
:: songwriter Wiz has not at all lost the ability to write
:: fantastic songs.During the late 1980's and early 1990's,
:: Wiz's band MEGA CITY FOUR scored numerous indie chart topping
:: singles and albums, singles of the week, peel sessions,
:: leading on to later chart single commercial success, and
:: established themselves as one of the forefront indie bands of
:: that era. When the Megas split, Wiz relocated to Canada and
:: joined the Doughboys, with whom he co-wrote the two singles
:: from their gold selling Crush album. Formed from the ashes of
:: his next band, SERPICO, IPANEMA's Me Me Me has been almost
:: two years in the making, following from the debut Baseball
:: Bat vs Skull single which received great critical acclaim and
:: numerous plays on the late great John Peel's show. The
:: recording is also the first to see Wiz re-united with former
:: Megas bassist Gerry Bryant in over a decade. A string of UK
:: and European dates are planned to co-incide with the release
:: of the record. The CD version is enhanced and features the
:: video for lead off track Nervosa.
