████████▀▀ ▀▀████████
█████▀ ▀█████
████▌ DJ Hidden the drum & bass artist hailing from the Netherlands has ▐████
████▌ for some time been causing rather interesting waves in the ▐████
████▌ international drum & bass scene, he has had numerous releases on ▐████
████▌ various labels and is on track to be one of the best producers for ▐████
████▌ the dark side of the force. This is DJ Hidden's first musical ▐████
████▌ output on American label Theoretic which is managed by highly ▐████
████▌ acclaimed jungle voodoo artist Kid Kryptic. Solid Tactics blasts ▐████
████▌ off with some nice filtered synth work and soon gets stuck into the ▐████
████▌ tech step beats which have a nice amount of resonance to them. The ▐████
████▌ bass line is introduced fairly early for a DJ Hidden track and is ▐████
████▌ then layered over the top with some awesome scattered sweeps. A ▐████
████▌ dark and pleasantly uncomfortable atmosphere is immediate from the ▐████
████▌ start is maintained through out the seven minute experience. Over ▐████
████▌ all its a well programmed and interesting song from the master of ▐████
████▌ darkness. Sygo is an Italian producer who has a habit of making ▐████
████▌ some really enjoyable drum & bass anthems and his contribution on ▐████
████▌ this 12" seems to be no exception. Left ledge doesn't go for the ▐████
████▌ hard-core approach that DJ Hidden uses of his track, it's a more ▐████
████▌ subtle beast with various intertwining pads and sweeps that would ▐████
████▌ help to create manic behavior on a club floor. Beat wise the drums ▐████
████▌ have a nice amount of top end and although there isn't to much ▐████
████▌ change in the pattern it all molds extremely well with the already ▐████
████▌ established technical synth programming. I would have no qualms in ▐████
████▌ saying Theoretic 002 is a well made 12" that is worth your hard ▐████
████▌ earned dosh as it delivers top quality drum & bass. ▐████
