biters might takes shots at the yam who guys dismissing them as
cheap bootleggers, but there are two things you can't argue with;
the sheer quality of their music and the class originals that they
choose to work on. tha' rayne's "didn't you know" has been a firm
favourite around here since it's us release in the late summer of
2003. as with all the yam 12"s before it, this warm reimagining
takes a brilliant song to the next level, using a live bass and a
long build-up. and rather than simply providing an instrumental,
they tackle the earlier "no love", with the ladies of tha' rayne
in fine form against a dope beat and tinkling ivories. another
pirate soul essential, as if it was going tobe any different!
