Evergreen is an exciting and well known name for Celtic music
in Israel. Based in the Galilee, the band draws inspiration
from all strands of the rich Celtic tapestry, the music of
Israel, and its wide-ranging repertoire is enhanced by many
other musical influences from their different backgrounds as
well as their own original material.

Classically trained musicians steeped in the magic of Irish
and other Celtic folk cultures, Evergreen - Michal and Gal
Shachar were joined in 2001 by Abe Doron, former percussionist
of the Riverdance show on New York's Broadway and world tours
and by Jazz guitarist Moshe Avigdor. That same year they
performed the soundtrack for the successful Israeli movie `The
Late WeddingÆ, which was nominated in the Oscars for best
     Foreign film.
