/:: ::\
:: ::
:: Under Jolly Roger is the third studio album by Running Wild, ::
:: originally released in 1987. This album marked a stylistic ::
:: turning point in which the group dropped the Satanic imagery ::
:: they had previously used and adopted the pirate theme they ::
:: would become known for, creating and influencing the later ::
:: named pirate metal subgenre of heavy metal in the 2000s in ::
:: the process. The album's title comes from the famous Jolly ::
:: Roger, the flag used by pirates to identify their ships. ::
:: ::
:: CD2 Bonus tracks: ::
:: ::
:: Tracks 1-4 are re-recorded versions taken from the 1991 The ::
:: First Years of Piracy LP. ::
:: Track 5 is a 1992 re-recorded alternate version. ::
:: Track 6 is a previously unreleased song from 1987 Under ::
:: Jolly Roger sessions. ::
:: Tracks 7-8 are 2003 re-recorded versions. ::
