"The first crop to be harvested from Little Miss
Morgenstern's forthcoming 'The Grass Is Always Greener' LP,
'The Operator' sees Babs in buoyant mood - wherein a a petite
analogue shuffle gives way to an all out 8-bit orgy. Keeping
the machines in check throughout, Morgenstern chooses to
augment her Psapp-style melodies and synths strings with a
glottal-rich bout of Germanic bluntness which juxtaposes
perfectly with the spiralling digitalis and fluffy choruses.
Backed up by a stripped down piano version, 'The Operator' is
further proof that whatever the Berlin authorities are
spiking their water-supply with seems to be doing the trick.
