This EP further demonstrates that while James Duncan heart resides
in New York, his soul is inextricably yearning for Detroit. Hence
"D Jam" the kind of long, nagging disco chop-up that Kenny Dixon
used to produce but with more of an NYC finish. "Yes I Can" boasts
a more obvious techno influence, with Motor City sheen, sharp icy
keyboard injections and striking drum arrangments. The EP finishes
with the chugging "You And Me", which clearly riffs on the
aforementioned KDJ style with its dischordant piano, high-pitched
tone and prodding couldn't-care-less beats. Another winner.
