Arctic ambience, melting with imagination, leads the listener to
the frozen tundra at the top of the world. This rarely explored
land, resonant with a shimmering radiance that is bleak, barren
and mysterious, is distinguished by slivers of fantastical nuances
that twinkle like crystals under the midnight sun.
The original CD of ’Drifting in Motion’ was released 2000 on Crowd
Control Activities. This is an enhanced re-release for even more
refined sound and experience of ’Drifting in Motion’. The entire
album has been carefully restored, re-recorded and mixed in 2007
and has been spiced with 3 more nuances.
released June 6, 2008
Re-release in 6 page digipak.
Composed by Peter Andersson in 1998-1999, except track 7 (2001),
track 8 (2006) and track 9 (1991). All tracks re-mixed in 2007.
Original paintings by Maria Gullqvist (Sweden) and Eva Verholen
(Holland).

Necrophorus is an ambient project from Sweden, formed by Peter
Andersson (also known for raison d'être, Atomine Elektrine,
Stratvm Terror, Svasti-ayanam, and more). Debut album Underneath the
Spirit of Tranquility was released in 1996. Adorned with esoteric
ambiences, one feels as though embarking on a path of inner
ascension while breathing the immaterial tranquilities. Second
album Drifting In Motion was released in 2000. Arctic ambience,
melting with imagination, leads the listener to the frozen tundra
at the top of the world. This rarely explored land, resonant with
a shimmering radiance that is bleak, barren and mysterious, is
distinguished by slivers of fantastical nuances that twinkle like
crystals under the midnight sun. Third album Elinrós was released
in 2005. Four beautiful compositions that blends and evolves into
eternal tranquility. Included on the album is also a remix of The
Source of Underwater Bleakness (originally released on the Last Bleak
Days compilation). Fourth album Imprints was released in 2007. It
goes beyond the previous album and further investigates the aural
landscape of imagination and mysticism. Imprints vibrates a fresh
air mixed of three dimensional electrified organic field recordings
and minimal immersive sequenced organ sounds thus creating the
psychedelic atmosphere of virtually being inside the music, inside
the magic circle of the aural landscape. Moments of Sleeping Sadness
from 2008 is a collection of early material (from 1991-92). 2013's
Samadhi album is in one sense very animalistic, but in another sense
highly spiritual. The sound sources are mainly based on animals
(dog/cat) with additional acoustic and synthetic elements. Those
animal sounds may at a first glance feel raw and untamed but the
layers and structures in the compositions put it rather into an
opposite direction of serenity and sublimity, all embraced by an aura
of ritual touch.

Hi chaps! This is the new retrofuturistic "back to the future"
obso-leet AMOK nfo hybridising oldskool ASCII art and YAML.
As a possible first in the scene (is it really?), we provide an nfo
that is designed to be both human and machine readable.
It is not so interesting for the average joe ripper listener but it
will be a useful tool for siteops, nukers, dupedb and archives
curators.
Why this?
Because we need a structure that can support metadata and UTF8.
As years pass, dirnames are getting stuffed with more and more
metadata. It is impossible to parse 100% reliably because dirnames
are just not designed to be storage for heterogenous metadata.
With id3v2, vorbis and .yml.nfo files, we can fix this problem,
we can have a more reliable dupechecking, automate common tasks,
filter and sort releases based on different metadata, such as
label and have more useful subgenres e.g. acid techno, deep house,
djent...
Now, let's say you want to add last.fm subgenres but you dont want
to put the burden on your rippers to look them up.
With .yml.nfo your prebot could automatically reprocess
the .yml.nfo, add subgenres and other metadata after the ripper
uploaded the release and before spreading the release.
With .yml.nfo, you do not need read access to the media files and
id3 metadata, you can automate mandatory fields checks (eg. source
codec, purchase url)
nfo files supporting the yaml format should have the extension
.yml.nfo
e.g. 00-alice-bob-cd-2018.yml.nfo
The schema_version tag allows that nfo format to evolve and stay
compatible. The current schema will be published in the near
future to make sure all .yml.nfo released will use the same
structure and set of keys.
schema_version: 0.0.5
