Just one year ago, Crystal Skulls released their debut, Blocked Numbers.
Listeners got smart and stylish songs nestled comfortably into the folds and
corners of various timeframes and musical movements. The band delivered a
thoughtful, eloquent, and singular record and toured extensively, playing the
tunes with good and feisty intentions to those that came to listen.
But Crystal Skulls donÆt fuck around and a mere 12 months after Blocked Numbers
their second full-length album, Outgoing Behavior, finds the band forging full
steam ahead. Channeling a hint of Meat Is Murder era-Smiths, sitting on a
treasure chest of songs that Todd Rundgren would surely shit for, flirting with
the soulful sway of a post-granola Grateful Dead mixed with brisk and brittle
wit... The band has carved a distinct niche in the vibrant Pacific Northwest
climate. As Outgoing Behavior unfolds the ante is upped considerably. The band
will be touring throughout the year in support of the record. You'll love it if
you come.
